Hold My Hand Bracelet from byLGD

I haven't added the payment buttons yet, but if you'd like one, email me. :)

A new wave...

A new wave's a comin'. Look for everything to be loaded in about five hours... that's what I figure. I am working on laundry in between custom orders and wave stuff. Jeff took the kids to the .50 cent movies today! :) I didn't know that it was that cheap! They're gonna have a blast! Tomorrow I'm taking them to the pool. At least that's the plan, I'll need to do some major work before then.

Anyway, look for me in a little while. Have a great afternoon, the weather here in the Bluegrass is amazingly beautiful. Not the usual thick humidity and blistering sun... nope. Today it's a nice breezy feeling and the smell is lovely. :)

See ya later!

A Perfect Fit Bracelet from byLGD

Yay for Monday!

The weekends go by so quickly, but when it's Summer even Monday's aren't so bad, no? :) My kids are still sleeping but I've been up for about an hour, figuring my schedule and seeing when I'll get the new things listed (which will be today). I have a few things to finish before then, a couple custom orders, and then I'll give a head's up via a blog post for you on the new things. Don't worry.

So, what did we do this weekend? A lot of nothing really, but that's okay, I enjoyed it. The kids have been playing with their friends and I was playing a game my Mother-in-law taught me on Facebook, Farm Town. Oh my word. I cannot tell you how addicting this game of farming can be. I've learned to plant my crops and *wait* for them to grow, then I have to hire someone to harvest them for me and after that I get *paid*. lol It's just crazy but I've learned that there area lot of YOU out there who play as some of you are my neighbors in Farm Town. lol! Cracks me up!! I planted something (cannot remember what) that takes three days to harvest. It seemed like the best choice since I am going to be busy this week. This way I don't have to be checking my crop every day. Right now I have roughly 50,000 dollars in my Farm Town bank account. It took me three days to accumulate this much cash, wouldn't it be nice if real life were that easy in making a buck? lol I sure do. If you want to play, you'll need to sign up for Facebook, which by the way, is awesome. I love keeping up with everyone. After that, you can send me a friend request and I'll approve it, then you can be my neighbor! :)
Right now I'm sitting on the front porch waiting for Jack-Jack to do his business. lol He's more interested in pouncing on the cat and the cat seems to enjoy it. Crazy animals. You should see them carry on. We've taken videos so I'll have to post them because considering how small Jack-Jack is, you wouldn't believe how terrorizing he can be to animals twice and five times his size. lol It's a hoot!

Well, I really need to scat. Bracelet sets coming, with *elbow beads* and boro focals. I hope you love them. I have eight made and they're all different. The kids want a pool pass and I said it depends on how much I sell today. :) So, I'll keep you posted.

You all have a great day and I'll talk to you later!

ps: we still have my Mom's potato salad here (she made a lot of it!) and the other day Nathaniel asks if he can try it. "Sure" I say. Well, guess who's really lovin' the potato salad now? lol I'm so glad. He said he'd never have tried it if he hadn't seen me eating it all the time, that I don't eat bad food. Ha! I told him that Grandma doesn't make bad food. End of story. I'll post the recipes next week... or this week if I get my crops planted and I have some extra time! lol!!!

Yay for the weekend!

Hello!!!!!!!!! How have you been? We've been crazy-busy here. I've really enjoyed this week. In the beginning of the week, Monday and Tuesday, I had some time all to myself... no kids... no hubby... nothin'. :) It was lovely! On Wednesday my Mom came to help me with my Scentsy party, and while I cleaned, she cooked. I'll post pictures. (It takes time to edit them..so I can't do it just now). So now my main level is clean and I'm thrilled. :) I won't have to clean it again for a while. lol

The Scentsy party was a success. I hope everyone loves their candle warmers. I do. :) They're so wonderful!! All of you who purchased, let me know the minute you get them! And, if you want to do a Book Party, just get in contact with Suzan, she'll be glad to help.

We had a great time smelling all the scents. It was a hoot!! :)

Well, I better scram. I'm working today and am looking forward to it. My silver order arrived and today my crystal order will arrive. For those of you who asked, yes, I order about once a month, sometimes twice, but it depends on what I have in stock. I typically do not keep a ton of crystal in stock because I get fickle on sizes. Once I have an idea in my mind, I look to see if it will work out with what I already have and if not, I just order it all. So, today will be nice when all the crystal comes. I sort it.

Speaking of sorting. My beady friend Candy sent me those trays from walmart! They are SO fantastic. They're sturdy like my larger trays, just smaller with three compartments instead of four. I love them. I use them for all the colors that I don't use as much. (clear crystal, etc) Thank you Candy!

Well, I really need to go now. I want to start my day! (people are sleeping so I might get some work done before they get up)

Talk to you soon! more things coming in the shoppe... soon! let me catch my breath and then I'll get them all up.

Lazy Summer Splash day... further reduced!

Hello!

My last few days have been a whirlwind of work, decorating, putting things together, regular household chores and a lot of spray-painting. LOL! Pictures to come! I've been taking them along the way. One of my little projects turned out really great and I'm thrilled with the outcome. Anyway, more on that later, but the subject at hand is the amount of emails regarding the new wave and/or sale items in the Summer Splash section of my "shoppe".

For today only, I've reduced the remaining available items. These prices are available to my online friends, so be sure to check them out and snag them up while you can. There's only a few things left and I want to keep them moving...

Go HERE to view!

Sorry! Sorry! Sorry!

Okay, I'm sorry I didn't get the wave listed. My Mom is here and we're cleaning. FUN, no!? I have pictures yet! Look for them on Friday. I have photos for tomorrow too, of the things I've been busy with so check back and have a great day!

On their way...

Great things on the wave... they're on their way! :) Sometime this evening... so check back. I have several more like Beauty in the Mist. Be on the look out! I got all sorts of emails about it, and I'm glad it was a hit. :) Only one lucky winner though, lol, but I will be able to remake it again, sometime in the future.

I'll be outside for the rest of the afternoon. My Mother is coming and Jeff and the kids are on their way. :) Lots of people coming to my house and then folks coming tomorrow.

Okay, this is short, I'll talk to you later! Have a great day!

Stuff and Nothin'

HELLLO!

How are you on this bright and sunny day? :) I'm beginning my day, already showered and dressed and getting ready to head down the hall. I'm debating about going to MacDonald's to get an Egg McMuffin since they only have five points. :) (yes yes. I'm counting points AGAIN. shut. up.)

Jeff took the kids late last night and drove to his Mother's house. :) My house is quiet once again but it's a little more quiet than it was when my Mom took them. I'm the ONLY one here other than the animals, who seem to notice the current unbalanced atmosphere. lol Jack-Jack hasn't left my side since they left. His playmates are gone! Vanished! :) They'll return soon but before they do, they'll head to the backyard pool, King's Island and possibly see the cousins while there. They'll have a great time!

My Mom arrives tomorrow to help me with my Scentsy party. She's making the food. Food? ::pitty pat:: I'm going to have a point-shortage I'm sure. lol

Okay I need to scram. :) I added some new songs to my Mixpod. Many are from movie soundtracks. If any of them are strange, let me know, because sometimes the song you pick is NOT the song you think it is. lol (I found that out once with a certain Pink song...the artist, not the color)

Have a great day! Oh, there will be more bracelets similar to "Beauty in the Mist". Thank you, thank you for all the wonderful compliments! :)

The parting of Jon and Kate Gosselin.

It was sad to watch the Jon and Kate episode. It's too bad they can't be more adult and get their acts together and figure it out so they can be a family. What a shame.

It made me stop and realize how very blessed I am. My husband is good and he is unbelievably kind, but the best part is that he loves me and lets me know it. We don't talk ugly to each other even when we are cranky or stressed. We always try to remember who the other person is, our closest friend, the one we would do anything for and the one who will always be there for the other. There's not a day that goes by where I don't know how blessed I am. Yes, we have tough times, believe me! But at the end of the day when it's quiet in our room and we talk about this or that, we are always so thankful that we have each other. I'm thankful for that.

I'm sorry that it can't be that way for Jon and Kate. They have all that wealth and that beautiful home, and now they can't share in those financial joys together. What a shame. What a loss. I find it immature of them both, sadly. Maybe they'll get themselves back on track after a few months apart. Stranger things have happened, no? I will hope for this...

I'm often asked about Sterling (large-hole) beads for Pandora bracelets... well here ya go. :)

Pandora-Style Sterling Beads...

A wonderful Father's Day...

We had a really wonderful Father's Day. We didn't do much in the way of "doing stuff", it was relaxing and everyone has just enjoyed the day.

After church we took Jeff out to Longhorn's Steak House (one of my favorite places) and wouldn't ya know they didn't mess up our order, not even once! :) Hooray! It seems that when we want really good food and service, something always goes wrong and inevitably we have tears from some child who's upset that their order isn't correct. lol Not today! It was perfect. So, that was great! Plus, when we left, they gave us a gift certificate for $10 off our next visit. Wow! Bonus!

Then we headed to a shop that I frequent to purchase my Life is Good shirts. :) I told the kids that I wanted them to pick something out for Dad, since the shirts are really cute, I thought they'd do a good job. I also wanted Jeff there to "help". He already has his own collection but the kids are a great help, plus bein' Father's Day and all... however, I'm sure you're thinking "why didn't I have this already finished?" Well, I had cards! lol And truthfully, I didn't know which one he'd like and I didn't want to do a return, yadda yadda. Anyhoo...

He didn't find one he liked. lol

So, off we went to Dick's Sporting Goods to look. (I loved one of the shirts, but well, I suppose it was too pink for Jeff. Whu? Not possible.) He ended up with a new baseball cap. Now, this is a harder thing to find than it sounds! Jeff has a big head. Ha! So, he found one that looks good and was on sale! Bonus again! :)

Then we headed home (dog's and all...gotta head home). He fell asleep on the sofa after reading the cards we got him. He didn't do anything other than lounge around, not a bad day, no? :)

I hope you're was the same. :)

Love of my Heart...

Flirtatious Series

Hello! I've added a new wave to the June Clearance page! It's called "Fliratious", using African Red Coral and Onyx faceted rounds... two lampwork bracelets mixed in too... I'll add some more necklaces shortly. I love the color combo! Click HERE to view the collection!

Hot. Hot. Hot.

It's just too hot to go outside. TOO HOT. Of course, it's not "Arizona hot" but still. I don't care. I don't live in Arizona...they are used to it! LOL (I think?) I am a sweater. Not a fluffy sweater (altho I'm fluffy), I mean I SWEAT. Summer is my least favorite season. We need to go to the pool, probably on Monday. Today I can't. I'm working today and I'm really enjoying it. Also, I'm working on the photos from the previous work I've been doing (custom work). My plan is to make a new video.

In between working I'm going to finish spray painting my chairs. Photos definitely. I can't wait to see how they turned out...

Okay. I gotta scram. I'm taking the kids to lunch. OH! Necklaces to come! :) Later today. They're fab!!!!! Especially one of them... it has a huge sterling bezel with the word "Love" scrolled on the inside. It's beautiful.

I'm out. For real this time.

delays!

delays....

when I said that I would have a new wave up, i forgot that tonight was our VBS program and pot luck dinner... sorry! i'll have everything up tomorrow. i don't want to stress about it tonight. you all have a great evening and look forward to tomorrow morning when i list some adorable necklaces (gems!) and simple bracelets, perfect for lounging by the pool. :)

Sweet Life...help!

Okay, someone ordered the Sweet Life bracelet and I cannot find the invoice ANYWHERE inside my paypal account. I've gone through pages and pages of recieved payments, but am having NO luck. I've mailed the others out but there's still one remaining and I do NOT have any idea as to who it belongs to. Please forgive me! Send me an email if it's YOU! I'm sorry! HELP!

A new wave comin'...

Hello and Happy Friday!

First let me say that just because I don't attend our county's fair, does not mean that I don't support our county. LOL Just not the fair. The food is sub-par, the atmosphere is equally disturbing and let's not even discuss the mechanics of those rides. So, simply because I refuse (!!!) to take my children, doesn't mean I don't like doing "fun stuff". Oh, and did I mention that just to get in and "walk around" the litter covered enclosure is $10 a person? Kids included. Um? No. Definitely NO.

Moon went with her fam cuz she's a fair-lover apparently, but she came home with two (two!!) goldfish. Me no likey the fish. lol

Second... I know I haven't had any new waves this week. Today, definitely today! I just need to edit some more photos and list them. It's been a long albeit fun week, despite not going to the pool yet. The kids are dying to go today but since it's 90-plus degrees outside, I'm betting that the pool will be filled to capacity and I'm not interested in that either. So, they're at the neighbor's pool, you know those blue bubble-like pools? They have a blast in it. :) Thank you neighbors.

Okay, I'm off. I have a bunch of beads to clean and some stops to make today. :) Talk to you later! OH, I'm finally used to my new glasses! They were ready sooner than they'd said (originally I was to pick them up today) so I'm glad that I had some time to get used to them. I can't tell you how fantastic they are now that I can see so much more clearly. :) Yay!! Glasses!!

Have a great day, and in the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger, I'll Be Back!

PS: We updated Jeff's wedding site, it looks great with our new photos, no?

We are wicked, evil parents.

(Natalie being tortured with fruit.)

Natalie refuses to eat fruit. Ugh. No juice. No apples. No grapes. No watermelon. No strawberries. No fruit. End of story. In some ways I think that she's become accustomed to not eating the fruit and since we don't hassle her about it, has formed it in her mind that fruit is entirely bad...even if it does taste good. At this point, she'd rather take a beating than to eat fruit (we are not spanking parents, there are other ways to get the point across, btw).

Recently, she's been having some behavior issues that deal with a variety of things that we do not feel are acceptable in our home. Smacking siblings when she thinks they need smacked. Digging nails into younger siblings legs (or arms) who get on her nerves. Hitting older brother when he looks at her the wrong way. We've discussed this behavior for weeks and I figure that it's happening because being nine and a half, she feels she has the right to strong arm those who are weaker than she (altho brother is not weaker, but he doesn't hit her back...he should!). ::sigh:: It's a behavior I have told her that we do not like and will NOT tolerate.

Today Nicole comes running into my studio while I'm torching (this isn't something they're allowed to do typically as it throws off my concentration, hello!!?). She was visibly upset. I ask why. She says that Natalie smacked her on the back twice. (evidence shown) Natalie comes in. Stands there just looking at me. Ugh. I ask why?! She said that she deserved it. I say that whether she deserved it or not was no reason to hit her. All she had to do was come and tell me and I'd take care of whatever it was... (which, it turned out to be nothing...Nicole just wanted to get into the baby pool and Nat didn't want her in the baby pool so she smacked her. Nice.)

So, I look at Natalie and say to have Dad give her a spanking or she could eat fruit. (look of utter horror appears on her face, for both things I think, a spanking AND fruit) I said, "which would you rather have? a spanking or eating fruit?" She picks the spanking. (I was completely shocked) But, by the time she gets downstairs and realizes the inevitable, she decides against the spare the rod bit and goes for the fruit (smart girl!).

However, after being given a beautifully shaped piece of watermelon that was so fresh you could smell it from across the room... she begins to do the "throwing up" motion with her mouth. We quickly put a stop to that, saying that she'd just have to eat more watermelon. Oh Lord. You'd have thought we were literally torturing this child. Beating her with whips and chains. Good grief, the carrying on, it was ridiculous... crying until her face was red, eyes blood shot. ::sigh:: So, bite after agonizing bite we sat and watched with humor, watermelon juice dripping from her mouth as if it were poison about to burn the skin off her chin, she continues with her "punishment" until she finally completes half of the watermelon slab. I didn't make her eat the entire thing because after she figured out that we weren't going to give in, she finishes the job without incident.

When she's done she says that she thinks she's going to be sick. I told her that half of the watermelon still remained and we could always cut off more. She straightened up and decided she wasn't going to be sick after all. See? I told you she was smart.

So see? we're not so wicked or evil, right? I have to tell you, that this idea is not my own. My Mother came up with it and I have to say, it's the best idea ever! :) Thanks Mom! Natalie thanks you too! In the end, maybe Natalie will realize fruit is not the enemy and will enjoy it with the rest of us... but I really doubt it. LOL

Link to photos...

Here's the link to Moon's page with the final cut of photos from our shoot. (what? there's MORE?) Yes!

Go HERE!

Yay for Thursday!

Wow. This has been a super short week, but I've gotten tons of things accomplished so maybe it's been longer than I think? I dunno.

During the day I've been decorating and at night I've been designing. :) I recovered my dining room chairs (given to me by my Grandmother when she passed away), made a new valance (on a piece of wood) for my living room (this looks fantastic!), made a skirt for my downstairs bathroom vanity, spray-painted two candle sticks, four chairs, 4 glass bottles, threw out my old dining room rug, cleaned all the floors (baseboards too!) in my living and dining room, scrubbed toilets, took down some photos, hung up new ones, and well... the list goes on. lol It's been great!

Is anyone still waiting on Raspberry Sorbet or Sweet Life? I think they're all mailed out now, but if you haven't gotten your's, please let me know. :)

Well, I'm getting ready to make beads. I'm really looking forward to it! Back to Jamie and Claire! My MIL is now listening to Outlander. :) Yay! Someone to talk to about it! :)

have a great day!

More photos.

I love this tree. Getting up IN the tree? That's another story entirely. It took a lot of hoisting and shoving. LOL Nah! I climbed up all by ME-self!! :)

Isn't this fantastic? I can't wait to put this on my wall.

Sweet Sisters.
L to R: Nadine (almost 6). Nicole (almost 8). Natalie (9.5).

Me and my hunny.
You know, in all these years of being married (15!), I've never had a really good photo
of the two of us. That is until now. :)
I said I wasn't going to post any more photos from the photo shoot, but I lied. :) *smirks* I can't help myself.
PS: I just found out that my glasses won't be ready until FRIDAY. ::sigh::
One of the lenses was not in stock,
so boo. I was excited about working without headaches.
