Summer slowly comes to a close...

(photos courtesy of flickr, skinit and facebook friends)

As Summer begins to slowly come to a close for us (already?) I find myself trying to grab every moment I can with the family. Lately, we've been running here and there, going to the pool, lazy days watching movies and just generally doing what you're supposed to do in the Summer: nothing.

However, it's all coming to a halt with school beginning for us on August 11th. I cannot believe it and I knew that this would happen. I knew it would fly right by without notice. The kids have had a good Summer and I'm glad of that.

This week we've had drama camp at church, with Jeff leading the group and your's truly doing the dinners at night. It's been fun (despite the air conditioner not working to full capacity in the kitchen, and let's not talk about how much i sweat! yuck. a faucet i tell you, a faucet!). The kids have had a great time. Pictures to come.

I have new things to post but have needed to finish custom pieces first so they will have to wait until later in the week. Yesterday it was pouring rain all day and pictures just were not an option. (I really liked the loud rain though.) See you later this week!

Wow, that's early for school (for us, anyway) -- we don't go back until the end of August. But it's been a FAST summer!

I agree, that IS early!! Wow, we don't go back until the first week of September. I'm happy that you and the kids are enjoying the Summer though, we are too! :)

I feel your pain. My daughter starts school on Monday the 2nd. Ugh. But I'm happy, too. Bitter sweet. Enjoy the remainder!

I get sad every year the closer it gets to school starting. Not just missing my kids being home but the colder weather getting nearer... I'm a heat and summer lover.

This year after a rough summer (for me personally) I'm consoling myself by going ahead and finishing the decorating of this house :) So there is still something to look forward to!
